Treasured Technologies
|

Freeware, software, articles and other resources have found their way into my instructional technology portfolio as treasured artifacts that are used for developing educational, professional and personal projects. I have tested several tools for age level and skill level appropriateness and am discovering new treasures everyday. I have used both Apple and Windows-based computers. However, I prefer using Windows technologies and have had experience using the following hardware and software components for educational purposes: Nokia and Samsung mobile phones, Nikon digital cameras, Wii console, Kindle, Asus Netbook, Dell and HP Computers and laptops and SmartBoards. My experience in software connections is too numerous to list. However, some of the list includes: Onedrive and other cloud-based computing programs, SKYPE, Elluminate, D2L, CourseSite, Facebook, Email, Blogging, Glogster, Wiki, Thinglink, Dropbox, iTunes Podcast, Captivate, RainedOut, Screencast-o-matic, Dreamweaver, Animoto, Diigo, Weebly and YouTube. Learning Management Systems I am familiar with include Desire2Learn, CourseSite and Moodle.
The internet, which once began with a few strings of information shared between only a few universities has become an explosion of information that has enabled my instructional planning to grow with the learners who are using it.
Favorite technology resources can be found throughout the "Instructional Technology Work Sample Page" of my portfolio.
Additionally, some of my favorite web 2.0 art links and lessons can be found on the activities page of my Mrs. McColgan's Art Class website.
